(ABC 6 News) — At around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 28, the Austin Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 200 block of 6th Street NW.

According to Austin Fire Chief Jim McCoy, crews found fire coming out of the windows on the north side of the house, and the initial crew worked to extinguish the fire while others were on their way.

No people were home at the time of the fire, but a dog was found dead inside the house.

The State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate and was unable to determine a cause. The damage is estimated at $50,000.

(ABC 6 News) – Fire crews were at the scene of a house fire on 6th St. NW between 1st and 2nd Ave. NW in Austin.

By 10 p.m., the fire was put out and all crews had left the scene.

The Austin Fire Department was not available for comment Thursday night and local law enforcement could not provide any details about the incident.
