Vehicle caught on fire after crash in Steele County
(ABC 6 News) – A Volkswagen caught on fire after colliding with a Volvo semi in Steele County Friday night.
According to Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened around 8:46 p.m. at milepost 47 on Interstate 35. Both vehicles were traveling southbound.
The passenger in the Volkswagen, 33-year-old Amy Gomez from Albert Lea, was transported to Owatonna Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Mayo Ambulance, Steele County Sheriff’s Office and Medford Fire assisted at the scene of the crash.
