(ABC 6 News) – State leaders spent the day at the University of St. Thomas discussing the importance of fighting for the right to vote.
“I grew up after the civil rights movement, I’m like ‘oh, all the fights have been fought. Wasn’t that nice? They’re in the history books or whatever. We’re not gonna get to do that.'” said Governor Tim Walz. “Every generation is charged with protecting the democracy.”
