Meteor Clip Elton Hills
(ABC 6 News) — Based on a video sent to ABC 6 News by a viewer, it appears a possible meteor may have flown across the sky in Rochester on Thursday night.
The video was captured on a Nest cam in the Elton Hills neighborhood, and a bright object can be seen in the upper righthand corner streaking across the sky.
For now, there is no confirmation regarding exactly what the object was.
According to fireball.amsmeteors.org, 34 reports of the meteor have been sent in across Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin. The map of these reports and the estimated trajectory of the meteor can be seen below:
