Gophers men’s basketball game vs. Alcorn State canceled due to travel-related complications
(ABC 6 News) – The University of Minnesota men’s basketball team will no longer be playing Alcorn State on Thursday at Williams Arena, as scheduled.
Wednesday, the program announced that the game was canceled due to travel-related complications for Alcorn State. No other specifics were provided. Alcorn State University is located in Lorman, Mississippi.
The non-conference matchup won’t be rescheduled, Gophers Athletics says.
Anyone with tickets to the game can exchange them for any remaining regular-season men’s basketball game by emailing gophersports@umn.edu or calling 1-800-U-GOPHER.
Minnesota will be back in action on Jan. 3 when the Gophers travel to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers. The game is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. and be televised on the Big Ten Network.
