Legion softball: Adams staves off La Crescent rally to advance to state

(ABC 6 News) — The Adams legion softball team was part of history when they played in the first District 1 game against Hayfield earlier this season.
In the first year of legion softball for Minnesota, Adams will continue their run going and try to become the first state champions.
They faced La Crescent in the softball playoffs in Rose Creek and were in jeopardy of having their season ended. La Crescent had the bases loaded in both the fifth and seventh innings with a chance to take the lead, but Adams pitcher Laney Weis got key strikeouts to preserve the lead.
Adams would go on to get the 5-4 victory.
