Anna Miller grabs career-high 19 rebounds for Drake WBB in win over UNI
The former Mayo Spartan also scored 21 in the close victory.
(ABC 6 News) — Rochester native Anna Miller went past her limits to help the Drake Bulldogs defeat Northern Iowa on Sunday, 79-77.
Miller’s 19 rebounds were a career-best as she also logged in 21 points against the Panthers, notching her 12th double-double of the season.
The junior was all smiles after the game, noting she wasn’t fully aware of what she had accomplished.
“Honestly, I had no idea I even had that many rebounds ’til after the game,” Miller chimed. “I was like, ‘Maybe I had, like, ten or something.’ My sister came up to me and was like, ‘Nineteen rebounds?!’ Honestly, I don’t even — I don’t know, I don’t have an answer. It just came to me I guess.”
Miller and the Bulldogs are on a 7-game win streak and in first place in the Missouri Valley Conference. Drake has four more games left in the regular season, hosting UIC on Thursday at 6 pm.
