Austin Boys Swim & Dive places fourth in Section 1A Championships

(ABC 6 News) — The Austin Packers placed fourth in the Section 1A Boys Swim & Dive Championships Friday afternoon.

Multiple Packers were able to individually qualify after placing in the Top 3 or surpassing the State standard time in several events including Austin’s 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay teams.

Zach Evenson is set to participate at State following his 2nd place finishes in the 100 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle. Brent Dahl won the 500 Freestyle and 200 IM, the former saw Dahl break Logan Kelly’s record time by finishing in 4:47.48.

Hunter Peters medaled in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke while Lucas Myers did the same in the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly. Riley Ferguson and Gage Rasmussen will participate in State Diving.
