Lake Mills Boys Basketball cliches State Tournament berth
The Bulldogs won 41-38 after Remsen St. Mary's would-be game-tying shot rattled out. Lake Mills will face North Union first on March 4th.
(ABC 6 News) — The Lake Mills Boys Basketball team is headed to the State Tournament following a narrow 41-38 victory over Remsen St. Mary’s on Saturday.
The Bulldogs got a lucky break at the buzzer when the Hawks’ last-second shot was spat out by the rim, ending what proved to be a tense finish in Spencer, a nearly two-hour drive west of Lake Mills.
Lake Mills will now head to the Wells Fargo Center, starting their run in the Class 1A Tournament as the third seed. Sixth-seeded North Union will be the Bulldogs’ first opponent at 3:45 PM.
