Lourdes Boys Soccer HC Sean Kane steps down after three seasons
Kane had served as both an assistant and head coach for the Eagles for the past 15 years.

(ABC 6 News) — A long-time fixture of Lourdes boys soccer has decided to step away from the program.
Sean Kane, head coach of the Eagles will step down from his position after serving as head coach for the past three seasons. Kane, who made his announcement on Twitter Thursday, was a long-time assistant for Lourdes Boy Soccer before becoming head coach. Kane led the Eagles to back-to-back state appearances from 2021 to 2022 defeating Dover-Eyota and Cotter respectively to win each Section 1A Championship.
Following the 2020 season, Sean Kane took over for his Hall of Fame father, Tom, who was the program’s first coach. Sean cited wanting to spend more time with his family as the reason for stepping down.
