(ABC 6 News) — Stewartville Volleyball player Arianna Blohm officially signed with North Dakota State on Wednesday as part of National Signing Day.
The middle blocker discussed the opportunity to play for NDSU and meet her future teammates.
“I’m just super excited to finally get out on the team and get to know everyone more than I already do,” Blohm said. “I talk to some of them online and their Snapchat and other social [media]. But it’ll be really good to see them in person and really learn what everyone likes and what they’re all about.”
Blohm also noted her desire to help the Bison return to the NCAA Tournament as NDSU finished 12-18 last season; the Bison’s most recent tournament appearance being in 2011.
“I want to do the best that I can if that’s on the court, off the court, whatever it is,” Blohm continued. “I want to make to the NCAA Tournament, don’t care how many years, I just want to make it. So, that would be really nice. I just want to do the best that I can for the team at NDSU.”
Blohm made 328 kills, 200 digs and 132 blocks in her senior season and is also a member of Stewartville’s 2019 Class AA State Championship team.
