Lourdes, Hayfield hit the diamond in MSHSL semifinal action

(ABC 6 News) – Minnesota State High School League state tournament baseball continued Wednesday, with both Lourdes and Hayfield aiming to make the championship round on Friday.
Lourdes faced their biggest obstacle yet in the Class AA semifinals, while the Hayfield Vikings looked to stay calm and collected in their quest for another Class A title game appearance.
The Lourdes Eagles unfortunately fell to the Fairmont Cardinals 7-2.
In Class A action the Hayfield Vikings won against the Sacred Heart Eagles 6-0.
The Vikings will now go on to defend their Class A state title against Gopher Conference opponents the Randolph Rockets on Friday, June 17 in St. Cloud.
