Rochester Honkers release 2023 schedule
(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Honkers are set for their 30th season of Northwoods League baseball as the team released their 2023 schedule.
The Honkers, who are coming off of a 32-36 season, will play 68 games in their quest for a 6th league title.
Rochester opens the season on the road with a two-game series vs. the Waterloo Bucks on May 29. The home opener is scheduled for May 31 vs. Thunder Bay Border Cats, who return to the league for the first time since 2019.
The Honkers will play 36 home games at Mayo Field with the remaining 32 games on the road.
Monday through Saturday games will begin at 6:35 p.m., outside of three select games on June 28, July 4, and Aug. 3. Games on Sunday will begin at 5:05 p.m. Times are subject to change.
The All-Star break is from July 31 to Aug. 2 with the game taking place on Aug. 1 in Bismarck. The Honkers will finish their season Aug. 12 vs the La Crosse Loggers. The league playoffs will start on Aug. 13.
