59th Annual Marigold Days kicks off in Mantorville
(ABC 6 News)- The inaugural day of the 59th annual Marigold Days kicked off this morning. Both Mantorville residents and visitors came out to enjoy the beautiful weekend weather and experience this family-friendly celebration.
One attendee told me some of their favorite parts of the historical Marigold Days festival.
“Hanging out with friends is probably the main part and I also love all their food here,” said Brielle Boyum-Hinrichs, an attendee at this year’s celebration.
The festival also featured a slew of vendors and allowed them to showcase their handmade goods for sale. One vendor, making the journey from Arizona to Minnesota for over half a decade, selling his signature hot sauce. Here’s what he told me he enjoys the most about making the annual trip to the Land of 10,000 lakes.
“Meeting the different people, I love Southern Minnesota. Just everyday people with diverse backgrounds,” said Mike Gildea, the Arizona Gunslinger Hot Sauce vendor.
Marigold days wraps up tommorow so you still have a chance to experience it yourself. Events will feature the Jack Ruport Memorial Car Show starting at 9:30. The flower show will also be continuing till 4 PM.
