Hy-Vee Salvation Army Distribute Dinners
(ABC 6 News) – A grocery store teamed up with a nonprofit in order to make sure children and their families have plenty of food for Thanksgiving.
Hy-Vee and the Salvation Army will distribute close to 400 bags of Thanksgiving groceries to area schools.
The grocery bags will include non-perishable foods and a coupon for families to get a meal item and dinner rolls from their local Hy-Vee store.

Food insecurity is probably at its highest right now, so the duo hopes to support those families who struggle to make ends meet with additional food resources for the holidays.
The Salvation Army will also provide a free traditional meal for the community on Thanksgiving Day from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
It’s gonna be located at their social services center in Rochester.
The Austin Salvation Army will also host a free Thanksgiving dinner. It will be served starting 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m.on Thursday afternoon at 409 1st Avenue Northwest
