Temperatures and dew points constant through early week, warming again by the weekend
Temperatures today were sort of capped thanks to rain being in portions of the area during one time of the day or the other. Highs made it up to 82F in Mason City before afternoon storms arrived, while Owatonna didn’t make it any higher than 73F, thanks to more cloud cover and morning rain.
Daily high temperatures are expected to remain rather stagnant through the middle of this upcoming workweek, with highs sitting right around the long term average of 80F for this time of year.
Dew points will remain on the humid side through Tuesday, ranging in the mid to upper 60F’s. Humid, but not oppressive thankfully!
Tuesday we see a cold front pass through and behind that cold front we are expecting a small dose of some good ole Canadian air, meaning slightly cooler temperatures and lower dew points. Temperatures are still going to be nearing 80F across much of the area thanks to expected sunshine Wednesday through Friday.
Once we begin to approach next weekend, temperatures will begin to climb again, into the low to mid 80F’s by next Sunday. This comes as a ridge of high pressure begins to build off to our west, forcing the jet stream to take a hike north into Canada.
Odds favor that the humidity will also begin to go up next weekend as well, but hopefully we can keep storm chances away and have a nice weekend to hit the beach, lake, or pool!
